Dr. Jenny Low. Clinical Psychologist
Dr Jenny Low is an experienced Clinical Psychologist, having worked within the National Health Service for over 15 years with children and young people to address a wide range of psychological difficulties. She has a particular interest in providing assessment and therapeutic interventions to those with additional support needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Leaning Difficulties / Disability) as well as significant experience in working with children and young people presenting with a range of anxiety based issues (phobias, panic disorder, generalised anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder), depression and low mood, trauma, anger, low self-esteem, loss and bereavement and sleep and behavioural difficulties.
She is skilled in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and has completed training in Solution Focussed Brief Therapy. Jenny is also trained in Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapy for the reduction of distress as a result of traumatic events. Psychological intervention with children often involves the use of drawing, games and written exercises and is based on a trusting and secure therapeutic relationship.
Jenny is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also a member of the BPS Division of Clinical Psychology.
